As Bruce Jenner – The Interview headed toward toward a conclusion Friday night on ABC, E! Entertainment finally acknowledged a new series that would document Jenner living his life as a transgender woman. E! said the series will follow Jenner’s journey seeking his “new normal.”
E!’s announcement was long anticipated, but Kim Kardashian and some others associated with the family franchise had been coy in interviews about the timing or even whether E! would have the show. Back in February, NBCU locked in all the Kardashians for E!. But our sources’ reports that the deal included all the various spinoffs including the planned Bruce Jenner reality series were rejected as “grossly inaccurate.”
The eight-part, one-hour series will premiere Sunday, July 26 at 9:00 p.m. on E! and will also air on E! channels internationally. They haven’t settled on a title, which will be announced later.

The docuseries will also explore how Jenner’s transition affects his relationships with all the people in his life, while at the same time attempting to offer a better understanding of his challenges, according to E!’s announcement.
“Bruce is incredibly courageous and an inspiration, and we are proud to be entrusted with this deeply personal and important story,” said Jeff Olde, EVP programming and development at E!.“This series will present an unfiltered look as Bruce boldly steps into uncharted territory and is true to himself for the first time.”
The documentary series is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions. Bruce Jenner will serves as executive producer, along with Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins, Farnaz Farjam and Andrea Metz for Bunim/Murray.
