PREVIOUSLY: The James Corden late-night story looks about the same on Night 3, according to early stats, though the new Late Late Show host’s household margin over NBC’s Seth Meyers thinned to 0.1 of a point, following Monday’s 0.2 and Tuesday’s 0.3. From 12:35-1:35 AM ET, CBS’s Late Late Show with James Corden logged a 1.2/4 household ratings – up 20% compared to same night last year. NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers logged a 1.1/4.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, Late Night scored a 0.4/3 in the demo, topping Corden (0.3/2).
Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart were Corden’s guests last night; the Get Hard stars engaged in competitive tear shedding, exchanged work-out tips, and discussed earlier careers as a shoe salesman and bank teller. And in what will hopefully become part of the show’s regular bag of tricks, Corden, who only recently moved from London to Los Angeles, marveled at LA’s traffic nightmare and introduced Carpool Karoake, with Mariah Carey.
Late Late Show’s Wednesday season averages have been a 1.1 in households, compared to Corden’s 1.2 last night, and a 0.3 in the demo in LPM markets, which Corden’s matched last night.
