EuropaCorp said today it has pushed the release date of its franchise reboot The Transporter Refueled from mid-June to September 4. Luc Besson’s company says the move puts the film into the same fall-release zone when the other pics in the series bowed. It also said the new date will capitalize on the cast’s ability to promote the film.
Hillsong – Let Hope Rise has moved from May 29 to September 30. The documentary follows Australian band Hillsong United, which emerged from Hillsong Church — whose music is so popular that an esitmated 50 million-plus churchgoers around the world sing their songs on any given Sunday. Michael John Warren directed the feature.
Transporter Refueled, starring Ed Skrein in the role originated by Jason Statham, will battle against Jane Got A Gun, Sony’s horror comedy Kitchen Sink and the first weekend of The Weinstein Company’s Owen Wilson-Pierce Brosnan actioner No Escape. Hillsong will open wide on the Wednesday before a busy frame that includes The Weinstein Company’s Bradley Cooper comedy Adam Jones, Focus’ action sequel London Has Fallen, Fox’s Daniel Radcliife drama Victor Frankenstein and TriStar’s adventure pic The Walk with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ben Kingsley.
