Wayne Goldstein has been promoted to senior VP international research for Sony Pictures Television. Goldstein will oversee research supporting the division’s international TV distribution business, as well as sales planning, digital ad sales and marketing. He’ll continue to lead new media research, as he has as VP in that area, overseeing analytics for multiplatform streaming and VOD including Sony’s online portal Crackle. Earlier at SPT Goldstein worked in ad sales research, planning and audience analysis.
The New Zealand Film Commission is launching an annual scholarship program for women. Suggested by acclaimed New Zealand filmmaker Jane Campion, the program will offer multiple scholarships across screen disciplines in which female participation is low. Each year a different filmmaker will promote the program. The inaugural scholarship is the JC CineFem Scholarship for women aspiring to a career as a cinematographer. NZFC and Jane Campion will facilitate an internship with a filmmaker of the designated scholarship recipient’s choosing.
