Intrigue has closed its largest format deal to date, inking with Pomodoro Stories for first-look rights to a selection of its catalog of scripted formats. The deal also includes format rights to Pomodoro’s catalog from Germany’s Beta Film, which contains more than 4,000 titles.
Kelly Pancho, the VP of Television at Tariq Jalil’s Intrigue, negotiated the agreement with Brendan Fitzgerald’s Pomodoro and will help oversee the development of the titles.
Intrigue sold four projects to networks this year, including First Lady to the CW; Game Of Silence to NBC, which was picked up to pilot in January; and BraunSchlag to Fox. Intrigue also has three feature film projects in the works.
Pomodoro’s library of 3,000-plus scripted episodes has been produced in more than 15 countries, including titles from Turkey, Israel, Spain and Italy.
