Rose McGowan has been tapped to star in the indie psychological thriller Lower Bay from producer Michele Weisler. She will play Kelly Johansen, a best-selling author who investigates ghost sightings. Richard Gunn will play her fiancé, and Christopher Lloyd is set as a mysterious man who crosses paths with Kelly in an abandoned subway station. Jenna Mattison penned the feature, which is based on true events. McGowan’s film credits include Conan The Barbarian and Grindhouse. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Three Six Zero Group. Gunn, who recently joined the cast of Netflix’s Hemlock Grove final season, is repped by Global Artists and Untitled Entertainment. Gersh represents Weisler and Lloyd.
Juan Pablo Raba has joined the cast of Shot Caller, an indie drama from writer-director Ric Roman Waugh. Raba will play Herman Gomez, a mentor to Money (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), an ex-con who is forced by the leaders of his gang to orchestrate a major crime with a brutal rival gang. Unbeknownst to Money, Gomez has teamed up with the feds to recapture him. Pablo recently wrapped the Netflix series Narcos. He is repped by Impression Entertainment.
