EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) has signed on to star in Come And Find Me, which Zack Whedon has written and will direct. Automatik‘s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Midnight Special) and Oddfellows’ Chris Ferguson will produce. Rian Cahill will co-produce for Automatik. Shooting begins next month in Vancouver. Come And Find Me, which appeared on the 2012 Black List, follows the character of David (Paul) who must track down his missing girlfriend after he realizes she’s not who she was pretending to be.
Motion Picture Capital is financing with Leon Clarance producing and Laure Vaysse and Jo Monk executive producing. Zack Whedon is a producer on AMC’s Halt & Catch Fire. He has worked on Fringe and Rubicon and also co-created Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog with brothers Joss and Jed.
This is Automatik and Oddfellows’ fourth film collaboration. Their more recent, Christian Cantemessa’s Air starring Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou, will be released on August 14th. Kavanaugh-Jones has also served as producer or exec producer on Insidious 3, Sinister 2, Autobahn and Midnight Special. The latter, directed by Jeff Nichols and starring Kirsten Dunst, Joel Edgerton, Adam Driver and Michael Shannon, will be released domestically by Warner Bros on November 25.
Robb Klein at Sheppard Mullin negotiated the deal on behalf of Motion Picture Capital. Paul is repped by UTA. Whedon is repped by WME and Hansen Jacobson Teller Hoberm.
