Craig Ferguson is returning to Epix. The premium network has set Thursday, September 10 for the premiere of Craig Ferguson: Just Being Honest stand-up comedy special. It will air at 10 PM ET/PT and 9 PM CT during Epix’s Free Preview Weekend which runs September 10-13. Epix subscribers can watch on air, online, on demand and via the Epix app. Non-subscribers can view online at Epix.com.
The hour-long special, filmed at New York City’s Town Hall, is Ferguson’s second for the premium network and the first since he left the Late Late Show. The first, Craig Ferguson: Does This Need To Be Said aired in 2011.
In Just Being Honest, Ferguson covers “the deeply meaningless to the profoundly meaningful” — the pros and cons of catch phrases, shoes that look like feet, and the Scottish version of hacky sack, as well as religion, aging, and sex, drugs and rock and roll, according to Epix.
“I think it’s important to be honest in a comedy special, but, then again, I’m a 30-year-old comic who weighs 170 lbs. and is not sexually aroused by the smell of damp wool, so what do I know?” said Ferguson.
Ferguson wrapped his nine-year stint as host of CBS’ The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson in December. In April, he won a Daytime Emmy for hosting Celebrity Name Game.
Ferguson is repped by APA for comedy touring.
