Paul Dano, Daniel Radcliffe and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will star in the Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert-directed Swiss Army Man — the helmers sensibly go by the moniker “Daniels.” Shooting begins July. The Tadmor Group and Cold Iron Pictures will co-finance and produce.
Launched at the Sundance lab, the film centers on a hopeless man stranded in the wilderness who befriends a dead body and together they go on a surreal journey to get home. Cold Iron’s Miranda Bailey and Amanda Marshall, Blackbird’s Lawrence Inglee, Jonathan Wang, The Tadmor Group’s Eyal Rimmon, and Lauren Mann produce. The Tadmor Group’s Gideon Tadmor and Jim Kaufman, and William Olsson serve as executive producers.
Kwan and Scheinert recently won Best Director at the MTV Music Awards. They have made their music videos and short films in conjunction with Prettybird Productions and are represented by Mosaic. Dano is repped by WME, Anonymous Content and attorney Mitch Smelkinson. Radcliffe is repped by UTA, Sue Latimer at ARG and attorney Fred Toczek. Winstead is repped by UTA and attorneys Karl Austen and Peter Sample.
