EXCLUSIVE: Julie Candelaria has been upped to SVP Marketing at indie distributor Gravitas Ventures, which is bolstering its executive ranks. Nancy Sanchez joins as Marketing Manager from creative marketing industry firm InSync + BemisBalkind where she served clients including Universal, The Weinstein Company, Fox and HBO. In addition, the company has tapped AJ Feuerman as director of public relations, where her duties will include oversight of the company’s social media strategy as well as planning and executing publicity campaigns. She previously worked at AEG Live, Millennium Entertainment (now Alchemy) and Crown Media Family Networks.
As VP Marketing, Candelaria oversaw releases last year including Felony, Backstreet Boys: Show ‘Em What You Are Made Of and The Nightmare. The veteran, whose had stints at NBCUniversal, Fox, DirecTV and Starz, will now oversee upcoming pics on Gravitas’ release slate include the Johnny Knoxville-starrer Being Evel, Addicted To Fresno with Judy Greer and Natasha Lyonne, the Colin Hanks-helmed All Things Must Pass and SXSW Audience Award winner Peace Officer.
