EXCLUSIVE: Dulé Hill, Jacob Latimore, rapper Tyga and Storm Reid have been cast in Sleight, a thriller pic from Diablo Entertainment. The film will mark the feature directing debut of music video helmer JD Dillard, who co-wrote the script with Alex Theurer. Diablo’s Eric B. Fleischman and Sean Tabibian, whose credits include Two-Bit Waltz and Carnage Park, are producing the feature, which is set to begin production this summer in Los Angeles.
The film centers on a young street magician (Latimore) who is left to take care of his little sister after his mother’s death and turns to drug dealing in the Los Angeles party scene to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets into trouble with his supplier, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to rely on both his sleight of hand and brilliant mind to save her.
Hill is repped by ICM Partners, Washington Square Arts and Fuller Downs PC. Latimore (The Maze Runner) is repped by CAA and Geffen Management Group. Tyga is repped by Paradigm. Dillard and Theurer are with Circle of Confusion and Ginsberg, Daniels.
