In his first development season since launching his production company Wedding Punch in November, Modern Family star Ty Burrell has landed his first major sale: a put pilot commitment at Fox for single-camera comedy Hosed.
Written by New Girl writer-producer Luvh Rakhe, Hosed is a workplace comedy about volunteer firefighters in America’s second-rainiest town. Rakhe executive produces alongside Burrell and his Wedding Punch partners (and old pals), UCB members Johnny Meeks, Joel Spence and Mel Cowan. 20th Century Fox TV, where Wedding Punch is based, is the studio.
Burrell, repped by ICM Partners and Frank Stewart, landed his sixth consecutive Emmy nomination for his role on Modern Family this year. He has won twice. Rakhe, whose writing credits also include It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, is back on New Girl after a season-long break. He is repped by UTA.
