In the latest executive departure from Endemol Shine Group, finance chief Edwin van Es is prepping to leave this summer. Van Es was appointed to his role in the merged company in late 2014 after a decade at Endemol, and oversaw the integration of Endemol, Shine and Core Media over the past year.
The news follows recent word that Endemol Shine Group President Tim Hincks will exit later this year. Other execs to have moved on since the companies joined forces include co-CEO Of International Gary Carter and Chief Creative Officer David Flynn, among others.
But it hasn’t all been exits. Yesterday, the group announced that co-CEOs of Endemol Shine North America, Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin, have signed new deals to continue in their roles. Additionally, they have been named Co-Chairmen, Endemol Shine Americas.
Endemol Shine Group CEO Sophie Turner Laing said of van Es’ leaving, “Edwin’s decision comes after more than a decade of extraordinarily hard work and having successfully overseen our integration. I want to express my enormous gratitude for all his tireless efforts throughout. He has been an absolutely invaluable support to everyone here, and will be leaving us brilliantly positioned for the future.”
Van Es noted he was leaving “safe in the knowledge that the company is now set up to go from strength to strength under Sophie’s leadership powered by the many talented colleagues I have been so fortunate to work with in this time.”
