EXCLUSIVE– In a highly competitive situation, WME has signed fast-rising star Ruby Rose. Her breakout role came as Stella Carlin in the third season of Netflix dramedy Orange is the New Black, which received Golden Globe, SAG and Emmy nominations. Rose’s character managed to romance and swindle Taylor Schilling‘s long-suffering Piper Chapman.
Since then Rose’s career has resembled an unstoppable freight train. The Australian model, DJ and actress could now, in the space of only two years, be on her way to becoming one of the most in-demand female action stars around.
She recently wrapped Resident Evil: The Final Chapter opposite Milla Jovovich, and is currently in production on the Chad Stahelski-directed John Wick 2 alongside Keanu Reeves and Common. After that, she jumps straight into production on the rebooted xXx franchise, The Return of Xander Cage opposite original marquee player Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson. In addition, Rose is attached to lend her voice to the animated feature Sheep’n’Wolves, alongside Harry Potter’s Tom Felton. Todd Resnick, Andrey Galat and Maxim Volkov direct that project.
With her distinctive tattoos and general bad-ass demeanour, Rose brings more than a touch of cat fight to the catwalk. The 29-year-old also wrote, produced, and starred in the short film Break Free, which became a viral hit, garnering more 15M views on YouTube.
Rose continues to be managed by Carol Bodie of Art2Perform.
