Amber Coney has booked a series regular role in Freeform’s Dead Of Summer horror drama series. Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Clearwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses — and first kills. Clearwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn. Production will begin in March. Coney will play Carolina “Cricket” Diaz. Better known by her nickname “Cricket” because she likes to chirp, Carolina joins her old gang of camp friends as a counselor at Camp Clearwater. Coney has appeared in the web series Class and numerous short films and is penning the screenplay for James Franco’s remake of the 1996 Tori Spelling telepic Mother, Can I Play With Danger? She is repped by TCA/Jed Root, Velocity Entertainment Partners, and attorney Neil Meyer.
Comedian-actor Brandon Kyle Goodman has booked a regular role on NBC and Universal TV’s Playground competition pilot winner Sunset PPL. He was most recently seen on VH1’s Throwback Thanksgiving, and has appeared on Amazon’s Red Oaks and web series This Is Why We’re Single. Goodman is repped by Gersh.
