Tracy Scott, a script supervisor whose credits include four recent Best Picture Oscar nominees along with TV’s Happy Endings and Winfred, has died of cancer. She was 46. Annapurna‘s Megan Ellison, for whom Scott worked on Joy, Foxcatcher, American Hustle and Her, confirmed the news on Twitter:
Scott was script supervisor on dozens of films and TV starting in the late 1990s.
She racked up credits on such pics as I Love Your Work, Garden State, Crossing Over, The Proposal, 2009’s Up in the Air, and 2014’s Whiplash — the latter two scoring Best Picture Oscar noms. Along with the Annapurna films, her recent credits include Concussion, Black Mass, The Gambler and Veronica Mars.
Scott also was script supervisor on more than two dozens episodes of Happy Endings and multiple episodes of Wilfred, Parks and Recreation, True Blood and Emily’s Reasons Why Not. She also worked on such hit series as Sons of Anarchy, Deadwood, Scoundrels, Switched at Birth and Worst Week.
