Ben Cole (Demolition) has joined the Season 2 cast of the Wachowski siblings’ Netflix drama series Sense8. Created, written and executive produced by Lilly and Lana Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski, the sci-fi series centers on eight strangers around the world who suddenly are linked mentally and emotionally. Cole will play Todd, a new sensate who longs to be “normal,” rejecting the gifts he’s been born with. Cole, repped by Stewart Talent and One Entertainment, was seen this year in a supporting role in Jean Marc-Vallee’s Demolition.
Alexander DiPersia has booked a recurring role on Amazon’s ensemble drama series Good Girls Revolt. Written and executive produced by Dana Calvo, the 1969-set series follows a group of young female researchers at News of the Week who simply ask to be treated fairly. Their revolutionary request will spark convulsive changes and upend marriages, careers, sex lives, love lives and friendships. DiPersia will play Noah Binowitz, Sam’s (Daniel Eric Gold) old school buddy who is back Stateside after serving two tours in Vietnam. He now is directionless, demoralized and unemployed, with no clue about how to rebuild his life. DiPersia, repped by Genesis Entertainment and Don Buchwald & Associates, next will be seen as the male lead in James Wan’s horror film Lights Out, set for release on July 22. His TV credits include NCIS: New Orleans and CSI: Miami.
