Dana Giacchetto, the disgraced former Manhattan “stockbroker to the stars” who stole millions from his non-celebrity clients in order to give big returns to his celebrity clientele, was found dead in his Upper East Side apartment on Sunday. The New York City coroner’s office, which is conducting an investigation, reports that there were “no apparent signs of trauma.”
Giacchetto, whose client list included Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, was sentenced to nearly four years in prison in 2001 for bilking investors out of $10 million.
