Southland alum Tom Everett Scott has been cast in truTV‘s comedy pilot I’m Sorry (working title), created by and starring Andrea Savage (Veep).
It follows seemingly confident, together comedy writer, wife and mom Andrea (Savage), who is forced to expose her inner immaturity and neuroses as life hands her situations no one could have prepared her for. Scott will play Andrea’s more straitlaced husband Mike. Newcomer Olive Petrucci has also been cast as a series regular as Andrea and Mike’s inquisitive daughter Amelia.
In addition, Jason Mantzoukas (The League) and June Squibb (Nebraska) will appear in guest-starring roles in the pilot, joined by additional guest stars Gary Anthony Williams (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Gillian Vigman (The Hangover), Maya Erskine (Man Seeking Woman) and LaMonica Garrett (The Last Ship).
I’m Sorry is produced by Kablamo!, Gloria Sanchez Productions and The Lonely Island with Savage, Jessica Elbaum, Jason Zaro, Billy Rosenberg, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer serving as executive producers. The pilot is currently in production in Los Angeles with Rachel Goldenberg directing.
