Following her joining the crime thriller Category 5, Maggie Grace has added another heist pic to her resume, joining the cast of Zak Knutson’s geek culture/crime comedy Supercon.
Supercon follows a motley group of comic book artists and former TV stars earning a living working fan conventions who set out to rob a crooked promoter and an overbearing former TV icon. Grace will star as Allison McNealy, a cute, artsy comic artist making drawings for cash. Joey Tufaro is producing the film.
Grace’s upcoming credits include 478 with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Scoot McNairy, and Scent of Rain and Lightning with Maika Monroe. She previously starred in the Taken franchise and the TV series Californication. She’s repped by UTA, Zero Gravity Management and at Jackoway Tyerman.
Talitha Bateman has signed on to a leading role in New Line’s Annabelle 2. Directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Gary Dauberman, the story follows a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several orphan girls into their home. Unfortunately, the new guests soon become the targets of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle. Bateman is playing one of the orphans taken into the dollmaker’s home. James Wan and Peter Safran are producing.
Bateman also stars opposite Alfre Woodard in the indie film So B. It, which recently had its premiere at the LA Film Festival, and recently appeared in The 5th Wave with Chloe Moretz. She can be seen next in the EuropaCorp’s Nine Lives alongside Kevin Spacey, Vengeance: A Love Story opposite Nicholas Cage and will be a series regular in the CBS Pilot Furst Born. She is repped by Becky Poliakoff and Scott Faucett with Hg5 Entertainment, Coast to Coast Talent Group as her talent agents and attorney Ryan Nord.
