CBS Television Distribution continues to shuffle its executive ranks with the promotion of Steven A. LoCascio to Chief Operating Officer and Stephen Hackett to President Of Sales. Hackett succeeds Joe DiSalvo, who will transition to an advisor role with the company. LoCascio and Hackett will report to Paul Franklin, who was announced yesterday as President of CBS Television Distribution.
LoCascio is elevated from EVP and CFO, a position he has held since 2006. In his new role, he will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of CTD and guiding its strategic direction while working closely with the division’s business, finance, administration and information technology functions. LoCascio will also continue in his role as CFO of worldwide distribution including CBS Studios International.
Before the 2006 merger of King World and CBS Paramount Domestic Television into CTD, LoCascio was EVP and CFO of CBS Enterprises and King World Productions. Previously, LoCascio had been King World’s SVP and CFO since 1995, and later added the responsibilities for CBS Enterprises following the merger with CBS in 1999.
Hackett, who had been EVP and National Sales Manager for CTD since 2007, will now oversee all of the Division’s broadcast syndication sales efforts for first-run and off-network programming, a portfolio comprised of six of the top 10 series in first-run syndication and an off-network library of 70,000 hours of programming.
Hackett was previously SVP and Southwest Regional Sales Manager. Hackett first joined King World (which merged with CBS Paramount Domestic Television in September 1996 to become CTD) as an account executive in Dallas in August 1990. He has held various positions in the company during his tenure, including Manager of Southwest Sales, Vice President of Southwest Sales and Senior Vice President Western Region.
DiSalvo has served as President of Sales since 2002 and is credited with leading the division’s sales efforts in successfully renewing key CTD series through 2020.
