Julie Bowen, one of the stars of ABC’s Modern Family, has signed with ICM Partners. Bowen has earned two Emmy Awards and six nominations for her role as Claire Dunphy on the family comedy, which won five consecutive Best Comedy Series Emmys for its first five seasons.
The signing comes at a crucial time when the cast of Modern Family is entering the final year of their deals for the show, facing major new contract negotiations. Bowen joins fellow Modern Family co-stars Ty Burrell and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who also are repped by ICM Partners. With three of the six Modern Family leads, ICM Partners likely will help spearhead talks for the cast with studio 20th Century Fox TV again. The agency was in the same position during the 2012 salary negotiations, when it repped Burrell, Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Ed O’Neill and played a key role in the talks.
The eighth season of Modern Family premieres September 21.
Bowen, who is filming the New Line comedy Life Of The Party opposite Melissa McCarthy, continues to be managed by Kay Liberman and Lenore Zerman of Liberman-Zerman Management. She is repped by APA exclusively for commercial endorsements.
