British actress Claire Cooper (A.D. The Bible Continues) has landed a recurring role on ABC‘s Still Star-Crossed period drama series from Shondaland and ABC Studios.
Still Star-Crossed picks up where the story of Romeo and Juliet ends, charting the treachery, palace intrigue and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. Cooper will play Lady Montague who is a master manipulator and a woman with a dark past and dangerous secrets.
Heather Mitchell created the series based on the book by Melinda Taub.
Cooper co-starred in Mark Burnett and Roma Downey’s event series A.D. The Bible Continues for NBC. She also recurs on the new Sony/Crackle series Snatch and recently played Anne Boleyn on the BBC’s Six Wives. She’s repped by Waring & McKenna in the UK and Gartner/Green.
