Just days after the November 25 launch of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life on Netflix, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is speaking out about the highly anticipated revival.
Sherman-Palladino says she’s not surprised that the ending left fans wanting more.. “The old adage is you always want to leave them wanting more,” she tells TVLine’s Michael Ausiello in an interview. “You don’t really want someone to walk away from something you worked so hard on going, “Alright. I can move on.”
Will there be more? Sherman-Palladino says no one’s discussing that right now, but she’s not ruling anything out. ” I don’t rule anything in my life out,” she tells TVLine. “When people were talking about a Gilmore movie [after the original series ended] I was always like, “That’s not going to happen.” But I wasn’t going to say no. Because… why say no to anything?” She did add she hasn’t thought about where the story could go next.
If you haven’t tuned in yet, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, a series of four 90-minute telepics that spans the winter, spring, summer and fall seasons, picks up nine years we last visited Stars Hollow, CT. The original series ran from 2000-06 on the WB and 2007-08 on the CW.
