David Castaneda has landed a supporting part alongside Benicio Del Torro and Josh Brolin in Lionsgate/Black Label Media’s Soldado. Stefano Sollima is directing the sequel that follows government agents Matt and Alejandro who are trying to provoke a war with the Sonoran drug cartel by kidnapping the daughter (Isabel Reyes) of the cartel’s top gangster. Castaneda plays Hector, who is based on the American side of the border and smuggles illegals over the border. Taylor Sheridan penned the screenplay for both installments. Castaneda recently booked a role in Amazon’s comedy The Legend Of Master Legend opposite John Hawkes and appeared in the Columbia Pictures’ Freaks Of Nature with Vanessa Hudgens and Bob Odenkirk. He is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates and Colin Stark Management.
Isabella Crovetti is booked for Disney’s Magic Camp, which stars Jeffrey Tambor, Gillian Jacobs and Adam Devine. Mark Waters directs with a script from Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. The pic centers on Andy (Devine), who at the urging of his former mentor and Magic Camp owner Roy Preston (Tambor) returns as a counselor hoping to reignite his career. Suzanne Todd is attached to produce. Crovetti currently plays as Grace Bowman on USA’s Colony and can be heard on Nickelodeon’s animated series Shimmer And Shine. She was also recently seen as the young Jennifer Lawrence in David O. Russell’s Joy. Crovetti is with Osbrink Agency, Industry Entertainment, and Chad Christopher.
