A bombshell report surfaced on Oct. 23, claiming the Aussie hearthrob’s marriage to the Spanish actress was on the “verge of breakdown,” according to Woman’s Day. Sources told the magazine, “They’ve been taking a little break from each other.” So are they over for good?! “Hopefully it will be a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder, but they definitely appear to have some issues that need to be sorted out.” Fingers crossed!

Speculation of marital woes began when fans noticed that Elsa jetted off to Spain in Sept. taking their kids, India, 4, and their two-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha, but Chris was no where in sight. Sources explained how this raised eyebrows among those closest to their pair. “He’s away again in November, so you might think Elsa would want to be there to spend every moment with him, not go away without him.” Luckily, Chris was working at the time, since he was still filming the latest Thor movie in Australia, so maybe it’s not as bad as we think. If they did indeed split, this would come as a major shocker since the actor gushed about his leading lady in May, telling TVWeek, “Each week I find something different, more I love about her.” Chris and Elsa tied the knot in 2010, seeming to grow closer throughout the years.
