You didn’t ask for it but somehow Kanye West sensed that what the world needed was an insane break from an even weirder week. In a master stroke of great timing, the Rapper picked the night after Brexit for the debut of the official music video for “Famous”, the new single from his latest record The Life of Pablo, delivering an absolute shocker that answers a question few people have asked: what would Donald Trump look like naked in bed with Rihanna and Taylor Swift?
The extremely NSFW video was unveiled at an event in Los Angeles earlier tonight that was livestreamed on music streaming service Tidal – partly owned by Kanye. It shows Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian naked, and asleep, in an enormously long bed next to some of 2016’s most notable celebrities who, yes, are also naked. We won’t be showing you any screenshots, but it’s a who’s who of recent gossip pages and tabloids, with Taylor Swift, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown and Ray J all seen as naked as the day they – well the day some of them were born, and the day some of them posed nude. You get the idea. Rest assured the Internet went nuts as soon as it ended.
Kanye’s team hasn’t issued a statement one way or another on just how they did it, but it’s probably safe to assume the celebs in question are digital recreations and not the real deal. Certainly Donald Trump didn’t appear in the buff himself, with his campaign issuing a statement earlier tonight denying any involvement. No word on whether or not Kanye got permission for the (we’re assuming) likenesses, but he denies any political intent or ill will, telling Vanity Fair that “it’s not in support or anti any of (the stars in the photo). It’s a comment on fame.” Kanye claimed that after showing the video to his famous friends, they themselves wanted to appear in it.
Tidal is hosting an encore presentation of the livestream event at 11:00 PM Pacific, after which “Famous” will be available to Tidal subscribers.
